Green Recovery & A Lot More
A series of investments and efforts have been made to renovate the golf course. One of the steps taken is the new work schedule for the field crew, which can be seen every day accomplishing maintenance tasks in a rotation basis. The greens have bin cut, compressed, perforated, sanded and watered with frequency. The result is an every day noticeable recovery.
The golf course layout is also changing. The old 10, 11 and 12 holes have been shut down and temporarily played in other holes until the new number 1, 2 and 3 be ready for use. The greens for these new holes have already been set up and impressed visitors. At the moment the fairways are being prepared to receive the grass. The next step is the landscaping of the whole course, as well as of the club house surroundings. Each hole will represent one ethnic group and must be sponsored by at least one member of the club, who may sponsor more than one hole as they wish. In this landscaping task-force, sponsoring means acquiring the plants established in the landscaping plan and, in the task-force due date (Sunday, July 3rd), place them with creativity, where other ornamental plants and objects which better represent the subject ethnicity can be applied.
In the mean while, the new driving range is almost ready. It is 300 yards being prepared to receive the attendants of another new project at the club: the golf academy. After all, we are a golf exclusive club, which is heading to a new stage of its history: become a role model and inspiring golf course for the growth of this sport in the country. For that to happen, our club is improving in every aspect: amenities, team, visual communication, procedures, and, most of all, in the spirit and essence of golf.
We want to go beyond playing and teaching golf. We want to breath and live golf in every activity and space. The new golf bar is being step-by-step thought through and built with that in mind.
